In Uttar Pradesh, the state government plans to make DigiLocker accessible to 3.6 crore ration cardholders in the near future. According to a government spokesman, the facility will allow state ration card holders to easily access rations across the country under the ‘One Nation One Card’ system.

The supply of DigiLocker to ration card holders was mentioned in the department of information technology’s 100-day action plan, and action has already been taken in this regard.

The DigiLocker facility will not only make rationing more accessible to people, but it will also prohibit dealers from engaging in unethical behavior. Furthermore, ration card holders will not have to worry about their cards being lost or damaged. Beneficiaries’ ration collection will be digitally recorded on the ration card.

DigiLocker for Students

The Madhya Pradesh government plans to introduce a digital locker system in all of the state’s colleges and universities to offer students with digital mark sheets, certificates, migration transcripts, and other documents. The state government’s higher education department has launched a digital locker system that will be available at all of the state’s universities.

According to a higher education department official, every student will have a digital locker account, and Barkatullah University has been designated as the system’s nodal varsity.

According to the official, mark sheets will be made available through the digital locker system in the first phase, while documents such as degrees, duplicate mark sheets, migration transcripts, and other documents would be made available to students through the system in the following phases.

“The nodal agency for the system, Barkatullah University in Bhopal, has prepared data for the academic years 2019-20 and 2020-21 to send mark sheets to students through the new system, which would be activated shortly,” the source added.
