Meet Susheel Kumar – the newly appointed MD of Syngenta





Susheel Kumar (41) of Karnal has been appointed as the new Managing Director (MD) of Syngenta India, a Switzerland-based agricultural multinational company. 












Susheel was born into a farmer’s family and received his primary education from government schools in Babain and Ladwa, both small towns in the Kurukshetra area, according to a press release. 

He then attended Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University in Hisar, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in agriculture operations and allied sciences. He subsequently went on to earn an MBA in agribusiness management at the Symbiosis Institute of International Business in Pune, Maharashtra. 

Kumar takes over Rafael Del Rio, who has served as managing director for the previous four years, according to a company statement. And Rafael has been appointed non-executive chairman of Syngenta India
